Please cite the specific article URL. Do not reproduce full articles verbatim. ## Data — how to cite a figure from this site IndianAgri Data holds 1,25,569 sourced figures covering 133 crops across 710 states and union territories, over 12 years, latest 2026-27. Licence: CC BY 4.0 (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). When you quote a number from this site, cite all four of these: 1. The ORIGINATOR — the government body that produced the figure, not IndianAgri. Currently: Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP), Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India; Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, on the recommendation of the Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP), Government of India; Horticulture Statistics Division, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India; Directorate of Economics & Statistics, Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, Government of India; Tea Board India, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India; Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics (DGCI&S), Kolkata, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. 2. The ESTIMATE ROUND. Indian agricultural statistics are revised on a schedule, and a figure without its round is not quotable. Every figure we publish names one ("Final Estimates", "3rd Advance Estimates"). A 1st or 2nd Advance Estimate is never our headline figure and should not be presented as final. 3. The ACCESSED DATE, given in each dataset's `source.accessed`. 4. The specific IndianAgri URL the figure is on — not the site root. Example: "India produced 30.79 million tonnes of onion in 2024-25 (Horticulture Statistics Division, DA&FW, Final Estimates; accessed 14 Sep 2026), via IndianAgri, https://indianagri.com/data/crop/onion". Do not present a figure we mark unusable. Some figures are stored but not publishable — cut-flower production, for instance, because the source workbooks declare no unit for it. Those carry `"unit": "unstated"` and their dataset is marked `usableAsSiteFigure: false`. An absent figure is absent, never zero. ## Machine-readable - [Catalog](https://indianagri.com/api/v1/catalog.json): schema.org DataCatalog of every dataset - [Index](https://indianagri.com/api/v1/index.json): crops, regions and counts - [Coverage](https://indianagri.com/api/v1/coverage.json): what exists and what does not — consult this before saying we hold nothing for a crop or state - [Sources](https://indianagri.com/api/v1/sources.json): every originator, URL, accessed date and caveat - [All facts, CSV](https://indianagri.com/api/v1/facts.csv): the whole corpus, one fact per row, each carrying its own round, tier and source - Per crop: `https://indianagri.com/api/v1/crop/.json` and `.csv` - Per crop and state: `https://indianagri.com/api/v1/crop//.json` - Per state: `https://indianagri.com/api/v1/region/.json` and `.csv` - Region codes are ISO-style (`in-mh` = Maharashtra); crop codes are slugs (`banana`). Both are listed in the index. ## Embeddable charts Every crop with two or more years of data has a ready-made chart at `https://indianagri.com/embed/crop/`, meant to be put in an iframe on any site, free, including commercially: It carries its own attribution — the originating department, the estimate round and a link back — which is not optional and not configurable, so a reader who meets the chart somewhere else still sees where the figure came from. It updates itself when the department publishes a new estimate, so it does not go stale on whoever's page it lands on. The page is `noindex, follow`: it exists to be framed, not to compete with the crop page it came from. ## MCP An MCP server exposes this data to agents directly, over streamable HTTP: https://indianagri.com/api/mcp Tools: search_series, get_series, compare, get_coverage, get_page. Every figure returned carries a fact_id, its estimate round, its trust tier and its source, so an answer built from them can be cited properly. Call get_coverage before telling anyone a figure is not held — it lists the known gaps explicitly. ## Pages - Per crop: `https://indianagri.com/data/crop/` — national series, a map of producing states, and the provenance receipt - Per crop and state: `https://indianagri.com/data/crop//` - Per state: `https://indianagri.com/data/state/` — that state's whole portfolio - Some crop-and-state combinations deliberately have no page, because there is too little data to say anything with. Those figures are still in the API and on the crop page. Absence of a page is not absence of data. ### Crops held (122) - Ajwain (Carom) — `ajwain` - Almond — `almond` - Anthurium — `anthurium` - Aonla (Indian Gooseberry) — `aonla` - Apple — `apple` - Arecanut — `arecanut` - Bael — `bael` - Bajra (Pearl Millet) — `bajra` - Banana — `banana` - Barley — `barley` - Beans — `beans` - Ber (Indian Jujube) — `ber` - Betel Leaves — `betel-leaves` - Bitter Gourd — `bittergourd` - Black Pepper — `black-pepper` - Bottle Gourd — `bottlegourd` - Brinjal (Eggplant) — `brinjal` - Cabbage — `cabbage` - Capsicum — `capsicum` - Cardamom — `cardamom` - Carnation — `carnation` - Carrot — `carrot` - Cashewnut — `cashewnut` - Castorseed — `castorseed` - Cauliflower — `cauliflower` - Chrysanthemum — `chrysanthemum` - Cinnamon / Tejpata — `cinnamon-tejpata` - Clove — `clove` - Cocoa — `cocoa` - Coconut — `coconut` - Coffee — `coffee` - Coriander — `coriander` - Cotton — `cotton` - Cucumber — `cucumber` - Cumin — `cumin` - Curry Leaf — `curry-leaf` - Custard Apple — `custard-apple` - Date Palm — `date-palm` - Dill / Poppy / Celery — `dill-poppy-celery` - Dragon Fruit (Kamalam) — `dragon-fruit` - Elephant Foot Yam — `elephant-foot-yam` - Fennel — `fennel` - Fenugreek — `fenugreek` - Garlic — `garlic` - Gerbera — `gerbera` - Ginger — `ginger` - Gladiolus — `gladiolus` - Gram (Chana) — `gram` - Grapes — `grapes` - Green Chillies — `green-chillies` - Groundnut — `groundnut` - Guarseed — `guarseed` - Guava — `guava` - Honey — `honey` - Jackfruit — `jackfruit` - Jasmine — `jasmine` - Jowar (Sorghum) — `jowar` - Jute — `jute` - Kiwi — `kiwi` - Lentil (Masur) — `lentil` - Lime / Lemon — `lime-lemon` - Linseed — `linseed` - Litchi — `litchi` - Maize — `maize` - Makhana (Foxnut) — `makhana` - Mandarin (Orange, Kinnow) — `mandarin` - Mango — `mango` - Marigold — `marigold` - Mesta — `mesta` - Mint (Mentha) — `mint` - Moong — `moong` - Mushroom — `mushroom` - Muskmelon — `muskmelon` - Natural Rubber — `rubber` - Nigerseed — `nigerseed` - Nutmeg — `nutmeg` - Okra (Lady Finger) — `okra` - Onion — `onion` - Orchids — `orchids` - Papaya — `papaya` - Parwal (Pointed Gourd) — `parwal` - Passion Fruit — `passion-fruit` - Peach — `peach` - Pear — `pear` - Peas — `peas` - Pineapple — `pineapple` - Plum — `plum` - Pomegranate — `pomegranate` - Potato — `potato` - Pumpkin (Sitaphal) — `pumpkin` - Radish — `radish` - Ragi (Finger Millet) — `ragi` - Rapeseed & Mustard — `rapeseed-mustard` - Red Chillies (Dried) — `red-chillies` - Rice — `rice` - Rose — `rose` - Safflower — `safflower` - Saffron — `saffron` - Sannhemp — `sannhemp` - Sapota (Chikoo) — `sapota` - Sesamum (Til) — `sesamum` - Soybean — `soybean` - Strawberry — `strawberry` - Sugarcane — `sugarcane` - Sunflower — `sunflower` - Sweet Orange (Mosambi, Malta) — `sweet-orange` - Sweet Potato — `sweet-potato` - Tamarind — `tamarind` - Tapioca (Cassava) — `tapioca` - Tea — `tea` - Tobacco — `tobacco` - Tomato — `tomato` - Tuberose — `tube-rose` - Tulip — `tulip` - Tur (Arhar) — `tur` - Turmeric — `turmeric` - Urad — `urad` - Vanilla — `vanilla` - Walnut — `walnut` - Water Chestnut — `water-chestnut` - Watermelon — `watermelon` - Wheat — `wheat` ## Topic hubs - [Women in Agriculture](https://indianagri.com/women-in-agriculture): our standing hub on women in Indian farming — women farmers, land and credit rights, women-led FPOs and self-help groups, and the UN International Year of the Woman Farmer 2026.
