Values are for the financial year (April–March) and cover agricultural and allied products (including marine and plantation products).
What the numbers say
- Agricultural and allied exports crossed US$50 billion for the first time in 2021-22, dipped to US$48.8 billion in 2023-24 under rice, wheat and sugar export curbs, and have since recovered.
- 2025-26 came in at about US$53.1 billion, up 2.3% on 2024-25 — level with the 2022-23 peak, and against overall merchandise export growth of under 1%.
- Rice is the single largest item (about US$13 billion), followed by marine products, spices, sugar and buffalo meat.
