What the numbers say
- Marine products are among India's largest single agri-export items; frozen shrimp alone is roughly two-thirds of the value, and the USA and China are the top markets.
- Value dipped to $7.38 billion in 2023-24 (from $8.09 billion) on softer global prices, then recovered to $7.45 billion in 2024-25.
- 2025-26 set a record on both counts — 19,72,018 tonnes worth ₹73,890 crore (about $8.46 billion).
