What the numbers say
- India is a major oilseed producer, yet still imports about 57% of its edible oil — narrowing that gap is a standing policy goal.

- Soybean (15.27 MT) and groundnut (11.94 MT) both set records; rapeseed-mustard came in at 12.67 MT.
