How to join

What the organisers ask you to send

Anyone who wants to be on the committee is asked to send six details:

  • Full name
  • Official designation
  • Institute or organisation
  • Preferred committee position
  • Official email ID
  • WhatsApp or mobile number

Replies go by email to harws21@gmail.com, or by WhatsApp to the organisers.

The date in the letter has passed. It asked for details by 23 October 2026. If you received the invitation late, write anyway and ask whether places on the committee are still open. Committees for December conferences are often still being finalised in November.

Why it matters

Natural farming has moved from a fringe idea to a national mission

Natural farming means growing crops without bought chemical fertilisers or pesticides, using cow dung and urine preparations such as jeevamrit and beejamrit, mulching and mixed cropping. The Government of India now runs it as the National Mission on Natural Farming, and states such as Andhra Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat have pushed it hardest.

What is still missing is good field evidence: what happens to yields, soil and farm income over several seasons, and on which crops it works best. That is what conferences like this are for. A committee role puts your name on the programme and gives you a hand in choosing which papers and speakers are heard.

If you are working on the same questions, our crop rotation guide covers one of the practices natural farming builds on.

Before you say yes

Four things to ask the organisers

As of 25 October 2026 we could find nothing about ICNFSA 2026 published online. The letter gives no venue, no host university or institute, and no conference website, and the reply address is a Gmail account. That does not make it anything other than genuine — many academic meetings announce late — but it does mean you should ask before your name goes on the committee list:

  1. Where is it, and who is hosting it? Ask for the venue, the host institution and whether it is in person, online or hybrid.
  2. Is there a fee for committee members? Ask in writing whether any registration or membership fee comes with the role, before you send anything else.
  3. Who else is on the committee? A list of confirmed names tells you a lot.
  4. Where will papers be published? If the conference promises proceedings or journal publication, ask which journal.

We will update this page when the organisers announce the venue and programme, and add the conference to our events calendar.

Why it matters

Natural farming is now a national mission, but the field evidence on yields, soil and income is still thin. Conferences are where that evidence gets presented and argued over, and a committee role gives a scientist a say in which work is heard. Because the organisers have not yet named a venue or host, anyone invited should ask a few plain questions before accepting.

The invitation is signed by Dr Anil Kumar Chaudhary, Chief Organizing Secretary of ICNFSA 2026. The letter does not name a host institution, and no conference website had been published as of 25 October 2026, so it is worth asking the organisers for the venue and host before accepting a role.

This guide is written from the organisers' invitation letter, dated October 2026. IndianAgri is not an organiser, has no commercial link with the conference and was not paid to write this. The organisers' phone number is deliberately not printed here; their email is given as it appears in the letter. We searched for a conference website, venue and host institution on 25 October 2026 and found none; we will update this page when they are announced. The advice on what to ask before accepting a role is IndianAgri's own.
