Dr. Pradip Dey

Dr. Pradip Dey directs ICAR-ATARI Kolkata, overseeing farm-technology delivery through 59 Krishi Vigyan Kendras across West Bengal, Odisha and the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. A soil scientist by training, he pioneered GPS/GIS-based fertility mapping across 173 districts and developed the Mridaparikshak soil-testing technology, now behind over 15% of India's Soil Health Cards. He holds two patents, five software copyrights, and has authored 500+ publications, including 207 research papers and 21 books. His honours include the World Bank Social Innovator Award and two Gold Medals, and he has represented India on agri-technology missions to Australia, the USA, Kenya and Germany.
